The ReCo process was mainly developed to run Post Consumer Reclaim (PCR) material. In this case the parison consists of 3 layers. It has basically evolved by taking the DeCo process a step further. An additional virgin inner layer is added to prevent the filled product from contacting the regrind or recycled material.
The ReCo process only allows a combination of materials from the same family of resins.

A typical layer structure would be as follows:

  • Inner layer 20%
  • Main layer 60%
  • Outer layer 20%

The main extruder from the blow molder would feed the main layer. As part of a turnkey retrofit package we offer:

  • Extrusion head
  • Vertical extruders for inner and outer layer (Unless already on machine)
  • Controls to run the extruders
  • Additional heat zones, if needed
